North Louisiana Quilters' Guild
Honor  Our Veterans

Our veterans are the living bridge between the freedoms we enjoy today and the sacrifices that made those freedoms possible. They stepped forward when others stepped back. They carried burdens most of us will never see, and they did it with courage, discipline, and a sense of duty that defines the best of our nation.
To honor our veterans is to recognize:
  • Their Service — the years spent away from home, the long nights, the uncertainty, and the unwavering commitment to protect others.
  • Their Sacrifice — not only the physical risks, but the emotional and personal costs that continue long after uniforms are folded away.
  • Their Legacy — a legacy written in courage, resilience, and the belief that freedom is worth defending.
  • Our Responsibility — to support them, listen to them, and ensure they receive the care, dignity, and opportunities they earned.
We honor our veterans not just with ceremonies, but with the way we live our lives. Every right we exercise, every opportunity we enjoy, every moment of peace we experience is touched by their service. Saying “thank you” matters — but living in a way that reflects the values they fought for matters even more.

The North Louisiana Quilters Guild was privileged to show our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to ten veterans by presenting each of them with a handmade quilt created by our guild members. These quilts are a symbol of our appreciation for their service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country.   (See the quilts and their recipients below)
